Bleachers stolen from Kelowna ballpark

ELLISON – A pair of large, steel-framed, wood bleachers were stolen from a ballpark in Kelowna's Ellison neighbourhood sometime during the past two weeks.

The caretaker at the Ellison Softball Park on Old Vernon Road noticed the two bleachers missing Nov. 14, according to a media release from Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers, and they were last seen around two weeks ago.

The bleachers are steel-framed with wooden benches and worth approximately $1,000 each.

“This may be one of the strangest thefts in recent history,” Crime Stoppers says.
