Penticton summer camp teens go behind the scenes of police detachment
PENTICTON – The Penticton RCMP played host to a children’s summer camp group at the detachment earlier this week.
Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says 12 youth involved in the Penticton Indian Band Sun Fun summer camp toured the detachment on Aug. 22.
The children were shown the offices, cells and a number of police cars. They also met “Tig” the police dog, whose trainer Cst. Mike Bobinski described the police dog’s services and abilities.
