Kelowna RCMP on hunt for stolen vehicles used in other crimes

KELOWNA – Kelowna RCMP are searching for two stolen vehicles, one of which was allegedly used to commit further crimes in the area.

RCMP say officers responded to a commercial break and enter on Aug. 14 from an automotive dealership located in the 2400 block of Enterprise Way in Kelowna, just before 9 a.m.

Police discovered entry had been gained to the building and keys taken that customers had dropped off after leaving their vehicles for servicing, according to an RCMP media release.

An inventory check revealed a white 2015 Dodge Challenger with B.C. license AK6 93L and a grey 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with B.C. plate EN9 86C were missing from the lot along with additional plates.

A shoplifiting incident in West Kelowna and an attempted break and enter to another business on Enterprise Way have been associated with the white Challenger.

“RCMP continue to search for both vehicles,” Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in the release. “If you spot either of the vehicles occupied or abandoned, do not approach them and call police immediately."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
