Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS – Spetz, a retired sled dog, is seeking her forever home.

Even though she is a senior Spetz loves everything from bike rides to hikes and has no intention of slowing down. Spetz is friendly, sociable, and outgoing.

In typical husky fashion, Spetz needs a guardian who can keep her busy and doesn't mind a talker. She would make a great partner in adventure. She is looking for an active guardian who can spend lot of time with her. Spetz already knows some basic obedience such as "sit." She has lots of love to give a lucky guardian and will make a loving companion!

She may possibly be able to live with another dog though she can be selective of those she likes so, a behaviour counselling session with Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success. Spetz likes to be with people so may get anxious when left alone. She will need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time.

Spetz would also do best in a home with older children because the energy level of younger children may be a little overwhelming for her.
