Vernon Tim Hortons drive-thru becomes a ride-thru

VERNON – Tim Hortons employees had a surprise the other day in Vernon when a horse head peered in through the drive-thru window.

Debra Austin captured the unusual moment and posted the photos on Facebook, where they have been shared more than 650 times.

The photos show a young woman riding bareback through the Tim Hortons drive-thru at the north end of the city on 58 Avenue.

The woman rides off with the reins in one hand, and a cup of coffee in the other as passersby snap photos. It's not the first time we've witnessed some horsin' around at a local drive-thru. Last year, a horse and buggy was spotted going through the A&W in Armstrong.

The latest pictures are generating numerous comments on social media including, "Wild horses could not drive her away… from Timmy’s" and "Did the horse get an oat cake at least?"
