UPDATE: Highway 5 in Kamloops reopened after brief closure

KAMLOOPS –The two-vehicle crash that slowed traffic at Chief Louis Way and Highway 5 in Kamloops this morning is now clear.

Police say the collision caused the closure of one lane of Highway 5 northbound and created about a half of a kilometre of backed up traffic and delays this morning, May 16.

RCMP did not include any information about injuries in the media release.

— This story was updated at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 to say the highway had reopened.
