Still no sign of man missing in the woods

KELOWNA – RCMP are still looking for a man who has been missing for almost ten months.

Terrance Michael Landon, 57, was last seen on December 26, 2013 at a remote campsite east of Kelowna near James Lake.

RCMP say Landon had been living in a tent trailer on Crown land for several months and was building a cabin in the woods.

According to police a missing person report was filed on June 8, 2014. A friend had found his trailer and vehicle, but Landon was gone.

Despite several searches of the area by volunteers with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, no sign of the man.

RCMP describe Landon as 5’ 7” , 141 lbs, with brown hair, brown eyes and a  full, grey beard.

Anyone with information his whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
