The first weekend of April marked by warmer temperatures in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – The warmth of spring looks like it’s here to stay as the weekend temperatures are forecast to rise.

Today, March 30, expect a high of 12 Celsius, according to Environment Canada. This morning’s showers will lessen throughout the day and the skies should clear up. Overnight there’ll be a few clouds and a low of 3 C.

Tomorrow will start off with some sunshine as temperatures reach 14 C. Over the afternoon expect skies to cloud over again. Overnight there’s a 40 per cent chance of showers with a low of 4 C.

On Saturday we can expect the clouds to stay with a 30 per cent chance of showers, but with a pleasant high of 17 C. In the evening those showers will dissipate with cloudy periods at night. A low of 4 C is forecast.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected Sunday with a high of 15 C, with cloudy periods at night and a low of 2 C.

The sunnier trend will continue into next week with clear days and nights forecast and highs around up to 18 C.

While the past weeks have been more wintery than recent years, the weekend is actually forecast to be above the average. Normally at this time of year, Kamloops gets highs around 14 C and lows of about 1 C.
