Kelowna vs. Kamloops in round one of WHL playoffs

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Two local rivals will face each other in the first round of the WHL playoffs Friday night.

The Kelowna Rockets closed the regular season Saturday night with a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Giants, securing home ice advantage against the Kamloops Blazers.

The Rockets welcome the Blazers to Prospera Place for game one Friday, March 24 and again the next night, Saturday, March 25 for game two. Games three and four are in Kamloops Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 29.

If needed, game five returns to Kelowna Friday, March 31, game six in Kamloops Sunday, April 2, and game seven will be played in Kelowna Tuesday, April 4.

A group has organized a bus to take Rockets fans to Kamloops for games one and two. The bus leaves Prospera Place at 4 p.m. March 28. For more information email labrie_chantelle10@hotmail.com.
