Cowboy hats and a mechanical bull help B.C. Grits let loose

LIBERALS CELEBRATE HOLD ON POWER

KELOWNA – Some serious steam was blown off by members of the B.C. Liberal Party at their convention this weekend in Kelowna.

Premier Christy Clark gave her celebratory flavoured keynote speech to the party faithful Saturday afternoon and then it was time to let loose.

The “How the West was Won” themed party included a country band and a mechanical bull.

Judging by some of the pictures on Twitter and Instagram the mechanical bull was a big hit.

Education minister Peter Fassbender played ride ‘em cowboy along with Kamloops MLA and transportation minister Todd Stone and Peace River South MLA Mike Bernier.

Even Victoria Times Colonist political reporter and columnist Les Leyne showed off his bull riding skills.
