Investigation underway after domestic violence incident in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – A police incident in Kamloops' Sahali area has sparked a domestic violence investigation.

Yesterday, Jan. 19, shortly before 6 p.m., Kamloops RCMP attended a home on the 100 block of Waddington Drive, Staff Sgt. Edward Preto says in a news release.

Police say a man had called 911 but refused to come to the door to speak with officers. At 8:30 p.m., Preto says a 33-year-old man was taken into custody.

An investigation into a domestic violence incident is ongoing and police say they would like to thank neighbours for their cooperation during the incident.
