Kelowna and Lake Country Mounties were once again overwhelmed by the generous donations, from the Okanagan community, to this year’s Cram the Cruiser for the Lake Country Food Bank.

“The 5th annual Cram the Cruiser saw sizeable donations from businesses all throughout the Okanagan Valley, from small business owners in Penticton to small businesses in Lake Country,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “This year’s single largest donation was personally delivered by Keith and Loretta Stutters, of Stutters Disaster Kleenup in Kelowna, who generously donated $2,500 to Cram the Cruiser for the Lake Country Food Bank.”

Together we raised total of just over 1,500 lbs of donated items, including non-perishable foods, and $7,640.55 in cash and cheques for the Lake Country Food Bank. Since the inaugural event in 2012, Cram the Cruiser has raised a total of over 10,000 lbs of donated items, and well over $20,000 in cash and cheque solely for the Lake Country Food Bank.

"The Kelowna and Lake Country RCMP and the Lake Country Food Bank would like to thank our partners at the Lake Country Volunteer Fire Department, as well as all our sponsors who made this year’s event another huge success: WestJet, the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort, the Kelowna Rockets, Costco Wholesale, The Keg, the Lake Country Dairy Queen, L'Isola Bella Bistro, West Kelowna Napa Auto Parts, the Lake Country Calendar, Nor-Val Rentals, Okanagan Portable Signs and of course Save-On-Foods," adds Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey.

The winner of the grand prize donated by WestJet, a “gift of flight voucher” for one round trip flight for two people to any scheduled WestJet destination was Neil Bolton of Lake Country.

"Thank-you to everyone who supported this year`s Cram the Cruiser and chose to generously give back to the community of Lake Country, your generosity this year was truly staggering."
