Environment Canada has ended all the watches and warnings for the Thompson-Okanagan.

THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR ENTIRE THOMPSON-OKANAGAN

KELOWNA – The weather could get ugly today.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the Thompson-Okanagan and around 6:11 p.m., they upgraded it to a severe thunderstorm warning for Vernon and Kelowna.

The meteorologists say the conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms this afternoon and into the evening over parts of the Central and Southern Interior.

These thunderstorms may become severe. They could produce torrential downpours, large hail, damaging winds and intense lightning.

The severe thunderstorm watch and warning covers the South Thompson, Shuswap, North Okanagan, Central Okanagan and South Okanagan regions, which includes the cities of Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton.
