Police investigate after electric toothbrushes stolen from Vernon drug store

VERNON – Police are investigating an unusual theft involving high-end, oral hygiene products.

Police say around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8, someone broke a window at Shoppers Drug Mart on 27 Street and entered the store. Expensive electric toothbrushes were the only items taken during the break-in, Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says.

The exact dollar value of the stolen toothbrushes is unknown. So is what happened to them, although Noseworthy guesses they were probably sold on the street.

Police are checking video surveillance and asking anyone with information to contact them at 250-545-7171 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
