Candlelight vigil tonight for teenage victim in fatal hit and run

KAMLOOPS – A candlelight vigil has been organized to remember the teenage victim of a hit and run crash that happened yesterday evening on Pacific Way.

Kamloops & District Crime Stoppers says in a Facebook post the vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight by the mailboxes on Regent Crescent in Aberdeen. Those coming in support are asked to bring a candle.

Police are still searching for the vehicle and suspect or suspects responsible for the fatal hit and run that took the life of the 16-year-old girl yesterday, Nov. 4.

The RCMP still have not released the name of the victim.

Condolences have been pouring in on social media all day. Twitter is filled with the hashtag #foreveratitan, which appears to be dedicated to the victim and her family.
