Help Kelowna RCMP reunite Christmas decorations with rightful owners

KELOWNA – Police are looking for the owners of several boxes of Christmas ornaments.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, at 11:58 p.m., police received a call from someone who witnessed a young man stack boxes and abandon them in a parking stall outside an apartment, Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release.

When police arrived at the apartment located on the 1200 block of Bernard Avenue, they discovered the boxes contained Christmas decorations and could not locate the man who left them, O’Donaghey says.

Police are circulating a photo with a select few items hoping that the owners will recognize them and come forward.

"One of the items is a snowman Christmas tree ornament with the names ‘Rod & Pam’ and the year ‘2007’ written on it," O’Donaghey says.

The found property will be held for 90 days, then be either donated or destroyed.

If you are the rightful owner of the found holiday decorations, and you can describe the unique items you are missing, then you are asked to contact Cst. George Minshull of the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 to claim.
