Professional jazz musician lights up downtown Kelowna piano

KELOWNA – A professional pianist from the Lower Mainland who has played all over the world was in Kelowna recently and uploaded a video of himself playing one of the city’s Piano’s in the Park.

Joe Alfech is a solo pianist originally from Japan.

According to his website he has been in Surrey less than two years but his resume includes work in Korea, Dubai and Japan.

In the four minute video posted Sep. 10, Alfech plays the Stuart Park piano across from City Hall.

The piano is one of several placed around Kelowna by Festivals Kelowna last spring.
