Don’t forget the sunscreen, another hot Okanagan weekend on the way

OKANAGAN – The recent trend of sunny, hot weather in the Okanagan will continue into the weekend.

Environment Canada says the hottest day this weekend will be Saturday when the mercury is forecast to climb to 35 Celsius.

The forecast calls for a sunshine and a high of 30 C today. The wind becoming north at 20 kilometre per hour this afternoon with clear skies overnight and a low of about 11 C. The UV index is 7 or high.

Sunny with a high of 30 C tomorrow, clear overnight with a low of 12 C.

Saturday will be the hottest day of the weekend, with a high around 35 C and an overnight low of 12 C.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud on Sunday, cooling off slightly with a high of 31 C. Cloudy periods overnight Sunday with a low of 11 C.

Normals for this time of year are highs of 26 C and lows of 13 C.
