Knox Mountain Drive closed until further notice

Due to a small fire near Kathleen Lake, Knox Mountain Drive has been closed until further notice.

The Kelowna Fire Department is on-site and assessing the situation.

Residents and visitors are reminded that campfires and barbecues are not allowed in City or Regional District parks, with the exception of barbecues on beaches.

Smoking is also prohibited in all parks and public spaces.

Anyone who sees smoke or fire in any park should immediately call *5-5-5-5, the B.C. Wildfire Management Branch, or 9-1-1.
