Tourist taken to KGH after falling from hotel balcony in Kelowna

KELOWNA – An Ontario man was taken to hospital in serious condition after falling from a balcony at a Kelowna hotel last night.

RCMP say the fall appears to have been accidental.

The fall happened at about 9:27 p.m., Aug. 2, at the Coast Capri Hotel on Harvey Avenue.

“Emergency crews attended the scene and located the man lying on top of a wooden pergola,” Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release.

The height of the fall and the current condition of the 40-year-old man was not disclosed by RCMP.
