THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Severe thunderstorms along with strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain are possible in the Shuswap today.

Today, July 30, Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Salmon Arm, Revelstoke and Golden.

Should the severe thunderstorms occur, they could bring lightning, strong winds, hail, and heavy downpours which may produce flash floods and cause water to pool on roads, according to the watch.
