MADISON, Wis. (AP) — In a story published October 17, 2023, The Associated Press reported that a bill passed by the Wisconsin Legislature bans gender-affirming surgery for minors. The story should have made clear that the bill bans all forms of gender-affirming care for minors in Wisconsin, including puberty blockers and hormone treatment using estrogen and testosterone.
