Kamloops police seek help finding missing man

Kamloops RCMP has issued a plea for help finding a missing 50-year-old man from the area.

Donny Mathiesen was last seen yesterday, Aug. 25, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at his home on the South shore.

Mathiesen is described as 50 years old, 6’2” tall and 185 lbs. He has a beard with sandy blond hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and shorts.

He is known to be an avid hiker and to hike local trails.

Anyone with information that could help locate Donney is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-30839.
