Kelowna road rage leads to physical confrontation, charge

KELOWNA – Two motorists took road rage to new levels with a fist fight yesterday.

RCMP are investigating the incident, which occurred Tuesday, July 12 at around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Drive and Valley Road.

A Kelowna RCMP media release says two motorists got into a physical altercation after one was cut off by the other while driving.

Both vehicles were involved with at least two separate collisions with one another before the vehicles became too damaged to drive on Summit Drive.

Two Kelowna women, aged 18 and 23, were involved in the incident. The 18-year-old was treated on scene for minor injuries.

The 23-year-old was arrested by police and faces charges of assault, with a court date Oct. 6.

Kelowna RCMP continue their investigation into the incident. They are also asking for any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
