
Kelowna RCMP on hunt for high-risk offender
Kelowna RCMP are trying to find a man who’s wanted on a warrant in connection to an incident of domestic violence.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Harley David Gillies, 45, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Jan. 27.
Police responded to a domestic violence call where Gillies was suspected to have assaulted a female, threatened her with a knife, and stole her cell phone and keys.
The warrant relates to the crimes of assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, breach of undertaking, and theft under $5,000.
Gillies is designated as a high-risk offender.
He is described as a 45-year-old Caucasian male, 6'6" tall, 180 lb. with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information that can help the RCMP investigation is asked to contact the Kelowna detachment at 250-762-3300 and reference number 2022-42887.
