Kamloops airport packed full of fans as gold-medal-winning Blazers come home

Dozens of fans were at the Kamloops Airport last night to greet Caeden Bankier and Logan Stankoven, the Blazers who were called upon to play for Team Canada in the 2023 World Juniors.

Fans of all ages were dressed in team colours with balloons and posters when Bankier and Stankoven returned to B.C. with gold medals, after helping defend Canada’s title as world champions of under-20 hockey.

Stankoven tied for fourth-most points in the tournament with 11. Bankier scored one assist. Both played all seven games.
