Construction on Tranquille Road begins next week

KAMLOOPS – A month and a half of road work is coming to one of the North Shore’s major roadways.

The city says construction will begin on Monday, June 27, on a section of Tranquille Road between 8 Street and 13 Street, with a target finish date of mid-August.

The repairs will happen primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, according to a media release.

The road won’t be closed during construction, with at least one lane going in each direction.

Businesses access and pedestrian traffic will be able to continue throughout the work period.
