Cole Smith scores OT winner, Admirals edge Moose 2-1 in AHL

MILWAUKEE – Cole Smith scored the overtime winner for the Milwaukee Admirals in a 2-1 win Friday over the visiting Manitoba Moose in the AHL.

Smith ended the game at 2:06 in extra time. Marc Del Gaizo also scored for the Admirals (2-4-0-0) looking to climb out of the Central Division’s basement after a slow start. Connor Ingram stopped 31 of 32 shots for the win in Milwaukee’s net.

Johnathan Kovacevic pulled the Moose even at 1-1 with less than two minutes remaining in the second period. Arvid Holm stopped 27 shots in the loss for Manitoba (4-3-1-0).
