Cache Creek man identified as drowning victim

KELOWNA – The man who drowned in a lake near Lillooet this past weekend was from Cache Creek.

Jean Claude Guye-Vuilleme, 72, drowned in Seton Lake on Saturday, July 6.

According to witnesses, Guye-Vuilleme walked into the water at Seton Beach just after 2 p.m. Shortly afterward, bystanders rescued him from the lake.

He was rushed to hospital in Lillooet. He couldn’t be revived.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate Guye-Vuilleme’s death.
