Department store officer accused of sexually assaulting girl
NORWALK, Conn. – Police say a Connecticut department store loss prevention officer is accused of sexually assaulting a girl he detained.
Norwalk Police say Kohl’s Loss Prevention Officer Edwin Espichan was arrested Friday and faces charges including sexual assault and unlawful restraint.
Police say parents of two girls reported that Espichan had detained their daughters in the Kohl’s security office.
Police say Espichan asked them for sexual favours in lieu of police or their parents being called and sexually assaulted one of the girls. Police say he released them after about an hour and later contacted one of them on social media.
Espichan, of White Plains, New York, is being held on $500,000 bond. It was not immediately clear Saturday whether he has an attorney.
