VANCOUVER – An blaze in a southeast Vancouver condominium has seriously injured one man and killed his dog.
Fire officials say flames in an older townhouse broke out just after 7 p.m. Thursday.
The man, in his 30s, was found in the basement of the home.
Crews had difficulty removing him because of his size and fire damage to the stairs, and he needed assistance breathing by the time the rescue was completed.
The dog was found, dead, on the main floor of the condo.
A cause of the fire is under investigation. (News1130)
