NEW YORK – Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid, Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and Boston Bruins left-wing Brad Marchand have been named the NHL three stars for March.
McDavid, the Oilers’ captain, had seven goals and 20 assists over the month. McDavid’s Match included 11 multi-point performances, with an eight-game multi-point streak to open the month. He reached the 100-point milestone for the third consecutive season during the month.
Bobrovsky led the NHL in March with four shutoutsand tied for the lead with nine wins in 13 appearances. He had a 1.74 goals-against average and .940 save percentage to backstop the Blue Jackets to a 9-6-1 March and into the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Marchand placed third in the NHL with 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) in 15 games to propel the Bruins to a 9-6-0 March and their third consecutive playoff berth.
