Baby in locked car at Kelowna Airport

It was a close call for a frantic mother this morning at the Kelowna Airport.

Her baby accidently became locked in the car at arrivals and departures.

The woman stepped out of her car to use her phone and she gave the young child her car keys to play with.

“Accidently the baby pressed the lock button,” says Frank D. with YLW security.

No windows had to be smashed to get the baby out of the locked vehicle.

After a terrifying 5 minutes, the woman realized she had her spare key and the car doors were opened.

It was early enough in the morning so it was still relatively cool.

The child was checked over by medical first responders and given a clear bill of health.
