Downwards Dogs for a Cause raising money for Kelowna SPCA

KELOWNA – A group of Kelowna yoga students will be holding a downward dog pose as long as possible next week to raise money for the B.C. SPCA.

Jaclynn Roy and four other yoga students will be in the main display window of Lululemon in downtown Kelowna on Sunday, April 17 holding the challenging pose until they raise $2,000.

Roy says it's going to be a big undertaking.

“Five minutes is excruciating and will definitely test your fitness level," she says. "For someone that’s never done it before they would find after a couple breaths it would be a challenge.”

Roy says the group will take turns holding the pose until they reach their goal.

“While we’re doing downward dog in the windows people can stop by, bring their dogs into the store, and we hope make a donation to the SPCA.”
