BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A man on the U.S. Marshals’ 15 most wanted fugitives list for allegedly killing his sister and an ex-girlfriend in New York City in 2002 has been captured in Connecticut.
The Marshals Service says 54-year-old Andre Neverson was caught Tuesday in Bridgeport outside a home where he had been hiding. He had been on the most wanted list since 2004.
Authorities allege Neverson fatally shot his sister on July 8, 2002. They say that he abducted his ex-girlfriend the next day and that she was found two days later with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Marshals say Neverson is a native of Trinidad and Tobago who is in the U.S. illegally. It could not immediately be determined when he will be returned to New York or whether he has a lawyer.
