Driver smashes in Kamloops Dollar Store

KAMLOOPS – An employee at a Kamloops Dollar Store was hurt when a driver smashed into the building while trying to park this afternoon.

RCMP say emergency crews were called the Dollar Store in the Brock Shopping Centre on Tranquille Road at about 2:25 p.m., March 26, after a vehicle crashed into the store.

“The driver of the vehicle had driven forward while attempting to park the vehicle, with the vehicle coming to rest completely inside of the building,” Staff Sgt. J.R. Wessel says in a RCMP media release.

A store employee was taken to hospital, but the extent of the person’s injuries is unknown.

No word on if the driver of the vehicle was injured in the crash.
