Man assaulted with knife in Kamloops; woman arrested

KAMLOOPS – A woman is in custody and facing charges in connection with a knife assault in Kamloops early this morning.

RCMP say at about 12:25 a.m., March 12, a man stopped a police officer on 8 Street and said he had been assaulted with a knife.

The victim was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a RCMP media release.

Investigators arrested a woman and a man at Cumberland Place in Kamloops.

A 31-year-old woman is being held in custody for a court appearance on a charge of assault with a weapon, RCMP say.

Police say they are on the look out for a second suspect.
