BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry suffered an acute back spasm on Monday night after landing hard on his back during overtime against the Brooklyn Nets.
Lowry had to be lifted to the locker-room by teammates after the fall and will be re-evaluated on Tuesday, the team tweeted.
The three-time NBA all-star had just grabbed an offensive rebound with both hands with 1:09 remaining in overtime when he flipped backward over the Nets’ Quincy Acy.
Lowry got up briefly before then sprawling out on the court again with pain in both his back and legs.
The 31-year-old had 18 points and 11 assists over 37 minutes.
The Raptors won the game 114-113.
