Calgary man dead after weekend collision near Salmon Arm

KAMLOOPS – A weekend car crash near Salmon Arm resulted in the death of a young Calgary man.

The collision occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 when two vehicles collided on Highway 1. The 24-year-old driver from Calgary, who was driving a Chevrolet Impala, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 51-year-old-man from Salmon Arm, who was driving a Dodge pickup truck, was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital.

The crash shut down Highway 1 for four hours near Salmon Arm and drivers were diverted while investigators were on scene.
