HARTLY, Del. – Police in Delaware say a woman drove her SUV into a horse-driven carriage.
State Police said in a statement Monday that the crash occurred in Hartly, Delaware, which is west of Dover. The 51-year-old man who was driving the buggy went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The horse was uninjured. It had fled the scene but was located later on a nearby farm.
Police said the 25-year-old driver of the SUV that struck the buggy was not injured. She was issued a citation for careless driving.
