NEW YORK – Police say a former worker at a New York City high-rise construction site killed a foreman and then himself. A neighbour says the shooter had been fired two days earlier.
Police say foreman Christopher Sayers was shot in the head at the West 59th Street construction site shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday. Officers searched the building and found a second man on a different floor, also shot in the head. Both men were dead.
Co-workers identified the gunman as 44-year-old Samuel Perry.
The New York Post reports (http://nyp.st/2xX5ySt ) that Perry began plotting his revenge after he was fired from the construction site on Tuesday. Perry’s neighbour Karinne Gale told the Post that Perry told her: “I’m over life. It’s time to go.”
