OTTAWA – The National Arts Centre says Michael Buble and his family will attend a Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards ceremony in Ottawa in June.
In March, it was announced that Buble would not be able to host this year’s Juno Awards as he was continuing to care for his three-year-old son Noah, who is fighting cancer.
He had previously also pulled out of hosting duties for the Brit Awards.
Three weeks ago, Buble’s wife Luisana Lopilato held a press conference in her native Argentina and said Noah was progressing well from treatment.
The family announced Noah’s cancer in November, but didn’t say what type of cancer he has or when he was diagnosed.
The couple also has another son, Elias, who turned 1 earlier this year.
Other honorees at the awards event, which will take place June 28 and 29, will include Michael J. Fox and Martin Short.
