Niagara Falls touts thrills in tourism rebranding
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Niagara Falls, New York, is branded as a destination of thrills in a new tourism marketing effort that comes just in time for the busy season.
With the American side of the famous falls ever competing with the more commercially developed Canadian side, the U.S. rebranding unveiled Tuesday focuses heavily on nature, inviting tourists to hike, bike, boat, fish and thrill-seek in the outdoors.
Tourism chief John Percy says the focus is on what tourists can do, not just see, when they visit.
Niagara Falls, New York, sees about 8 million visitors every year from all over the world.
