Senators forward Hoffman suspended for two games for cross-checking Couture
NEW YORK – The NHL suspended Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman for two games Friday for cross-checking San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture during a game Wednesday night.
The incident took place in the third period of San Jose’s 4-3 shootout win in Ottawa. Hoffman received a major penalty for cross-checking and game misconduct.
Hoffman will forfeit US$57,638.88 in salary as a result of the suspension.
