OBIT-DAVE EDWARDS
VANCOUVER (AP) _ Guitarist Dave Edwards of the band Skylark has died after a long illness. The Vancouver Sun reports Edwards had triple bypass surgery in February, followed by cancer treatments. He was 71. Edwards co-wrote the 1973 Skylark hit “Wildflower.” Music producer David Foster, who was Skylark’s keyboardist, says he does not know where his career would be today without that song. He calls Edwards “a true world-class talent before we even knew what that meant.”

OBIT – HOLLY DUNN
NASHVILLE (AP) _ Holly Dunn believed she had God and her own talent to thank for her career. Dunn said in a 1990 Associated Press interview her early success was due to “divine guidance.” However, she said she also was one of the few female country singers who wrote, produced and sang her own material. Her hits included “Daddy’s Hands,” ”Are You Ever Gonna Love Me” and “You Really Had Me Going.” Dunn’s career took a turn when her 1991 song, “Maybe I Mean Yes,” was criticized for sounding like a date rape song. Dunn continued to record and tour. She was a radio host in Detroit and a host of The Nashville Network’s “Opry Backstage.” She retired from music in 2003 to concentrate on painting. Dunn died Monday in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 59.

ROLLING STONES – EXHIBIT
NEW YORK (AP) _ Mick Jagger insisted on some changes the first time he saw the new exhibit about The Rolling Stones. Jagger says when he saw the recreation of their 1962 London apartment, it was overdone. He said there were too many cigarettes and too many beer bottles. Now, Jagger says, it looks like he remembers and smells like it, too. Keith Richards says he likes going through the exhibit because he’ll think, “Oh, THAT’S where I left it.” ”Exhibitionism – The Rolling Stones” initially ran in London and is now being shown in New York through March 12th.

KASKADE – EDM
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Kaskade does not believe the stories that electronic dance music is dead. He believes those are just trend-spotters trying to jump the gun. Kaskade says the minute something like E-D-M hits a peak, someone will declare, “It’s over!” It’s not over for Kaskade. He’s been busier than ever. He says E-D-M is just starting to get played on the radio and he feels that’s an indicator of it becoming a part of pop culture. Kaskade will start a residency in Las Vegas on December 30th.

TRISHA YEARWOOD – NEW MUSIC
UNDATED (AP) _ Trisha Yearwood has a tradition of buying a copy of her new album when it hits stores. To her delight, she could not buy “Christmas Together,” her new holiday album with Garth Brooks. Yearwood did a Facebook Live video showing her shopping at a Target in Richmond, Virginia, last weekend and discovering the store was sold out of the C-D. She bought several copies of Brooks’ new boxed set instead.
