Police seize 2,000 pounds of marijuana in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Authorities in Jamaica say they have seized 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms) of marijuana near the island’s northeast coast.

Police said Friday that the seizure occurred during an anti-drug operation in St. Mary parish. Officers said the drugs were found late Thursday inside two high-end cars.

Five men have been arrested.
