The Natchez Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/2cyrIkT) applications are due to the city’s personnel office by Oct. 14.

The director will take the position left vacant after former director Kevin Kirby was terminated in April following ongoing personnel issues at the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The salary for the tourism director’s job is listed as being between $75,000 and $100,000, based on qualifications.

The responsibilities in the job description include planning and implementing the activities of the CVB in the areas of sales and marketing, advertising, social media, promotional efforts and materials; budgetary planning and management; oversight for city-owned tourism resources and facilities.
