LAKE COUNTRY – Police are trying to figure out who's responsible for the theft of a truck and attempted break and enter of a Lake Country business last Thursday.
When police arrived at the Lake Country Liquor Store located at 9522 Main St. shortly after 12:38 a.m. July 17 they saw the front door was smashed in, but it didn't appear anyone had entered the building, according to an RCMP press release. Video surveillance shows an older model truck ramming the front of the business several times, causing extensive damage.
By 3:11 a.m. Kelowna RCMP received a report of a vehicle stolen from a home on the 500 block of Froelich Road in Kelowna. The black 1986 Chevy pickup desciption was similar to the suspect vehicle used to damage the doors of the liquor store a few hours earlier.
The vehicle was eventually recovered on Bulman Road.
