Clarification: Palestinians-Reality President story

RAMALLAH, Palestinian Territory – In a story June 3, The Associated Press reported that the winner of a reality TV show to choose the next Palestinian “president,” Waad Qannam, said Israel was responsible for the current wave of Israeli-Palestinian violence and said he wouldn’t call on Palestinians to stop stabbing attacks. While Qannam blamed Israel for the violence, he was evasive when asked whether he agreed with the stabbings, saying it is “impossible to equate the victim and the oppressor.”
