SEATTLE – A father and son who became stranded while hiking near Snoqualmie Pass in King County were rescued after spending a cold night in the wilderness.
King County Search and Rescue brought Henning and Paul Braess down on Friday after they got lost during what was supposed to be a day hike on Thursday.
Officials say the pair was visiting from Germany and may not have been dressed for the weather. Temperatures are in the 30s near where the hikers were found and snow was reported in the search areas.
Spokesman Sgt. B.J. Myers says the father and son were sent to the hospital for routine medical treatment.
